Description

These wireless headphones were designed to meet the infrared requirements of the Sony MV-710DS Mobile DVD Dream System. However, they are also compatible with any audio/video wireless system (IEC standard) that uses analog infrared audio transmissions. Please note that these headphones do NOT included the infrared transmitter.

The headphones have a transmission range of twenty-four feet (ten feet when at +/- 45 degrees.) They also receive at up to a ninety degree transmission angle, ensuring that you have uninterrupted listening as you move around the room. The headband is self-adjusting and sports a snug-fitting wide band. There is a volume control on the right ear headphone, allowing you to make the essential adjustment without walking to the sound source. The headphones require one AAA battery. If you use an optional alkaline battery, you can expect up to sixty hours of use; an optional NiCad battery will get you twenty-eight hours of use.

The headphones are lightweight and comfortable, delivering quality sound. Sony has installed several technical features to the headphones to ensure a quality listening experience. The thirty millimeter drive units are large for similar portable headphones, and deliver deep bass, low distortion and a wide frequency response range (18 - 22,000 Hz). Ferrite magnets give the headphones solid energy at a minimal size and weight. The PET diaphragm offers low distortion and a high frequency response. The open-air design allows for ambient noise to enter the ear, a safe and observant feature. The headphone’s color is a modern and sleek black.
